CORAL REEF

SENIGALLIA SEAFRONT - INTERVENTION SITE
Coral Reef is the beach resort born from the collaboration with the Subissati company aiming at a requalification of part of the busy Senigallia seafront.
This picturesque promenade among organic and sinuous shapes, thought to accompany tourists from the main road to the water's edge, gets its inspiration from a walk on the coral reef seabed.
In front of the picket fence displaying the ensemble name, metal coral roots offer a convenient solution for bikes parking; at the entrance, just a few metres ahead, a group of porous timber and waterproof sponge sea anemones welcomes visitors with alternative bathing-huts. Stone sea urchins gladden the stroll through water squirts and highlight at the same time the profile of the timber catwalk winding along the beach. At halfway of the resort, there is the showers area: two pools of just a few centimetres depth collect the fresh water falling from a forest of aluminium elements, inspired by the coral mushroom plant and arranged at different heights. At the end of the promenade instead, there are the seabeds, shaped as open timber shells, separated by some perforated plastic coral leaves and shaded from the sun by fabric beach umbrellas recalling the showers profile.
